Chair re-do & Cache swings!

So...I have this yellow chair that a friend found for me at a yard sale and I am dying to make it over, BUT I can't decide on a fabric because I have all these stipulations the said fabric must meet. Well while I was fabric shopping I found this really fun fabric and I loved it but I didn't want it for the yellow chair so I went and found another old chair and recovered IT with the fun fabric--did you follow all that??? So here is old chair....

Does it make you as happy as it makes me? I can't take all the credit for it though. I had to have Jon help me take it apart and paint it. Jon actually enjoyed the process as well so I told him his next project is to build me a TV stand...we'll see about that one. BACK to yellow chair...I want the chair to have lots of functions FOR EXAMPLE: for my house, for photography stuff, and I don't want it to look "girly"...as much as i LOVE girly there are a lot of boys in my house and I want to be able to sit Cache in the chair and take pictures of him and it not look weird. Make sense? YEs? Okay so now I need your help...do you have any fabric ideas? I want it to look really nice and meet all those specifications...I guess it would help if i showed you yellow chair or THE BEAST as I refer to it now.
See what i mean? I know it has a lot of potential...I just can't find what I'm looking for yet. It is going to be a lot more work because it's going to require reupholstery, but I'm pretty sure it will be beautiful when I'm done with it.

Now to the cute baby--isn't he the cutest EVER? He loves to swing!

Adios.

Cachey boy

I don't know why, but Cache has this thing about sticking things in his mouth putting his head up and going "wuh-wuh-wuh".....

Anyways so many new Cache things! Now that he is a year old he is finally in the forward facing car seat! So exciting for him...and us. Now he can see where he is going and it's nice to be able to hand things back to him.
And he is now walking! He could have started walking a long time ago but he was too afraid to let go of our hands and he finally got brave and just went for it. He walks all over the place now...occasionally he defaults back to crawling still. Its kind of funny because he walks like Frankenstein-both hands up. Last night I was making dinner and i hear this little pitter patter and Cache is walking over to me with both hands in the air and one hand holding my cell phone...I don't know why, i just thought it was so cute.

We also now have teeth! Two to be exact...they caused a lot of mayhem around here-talk about crabby baby! I think this picture is pretty funny, he couldn't figure out what i was trying to do. Notice the milk all over his face...
This one he got away from me before i snapped the picture and it just makes me laugh so I added it. ;-)

Extreme Home Makeover

Just about a week ago we had all the Extreme Makeover Home Edition people here in town. It was actually a very cool thing! It really united the community and it was amazing to see what that they could put that house together in that little time! There was literally no house one morning and then that night we went by and a house was standing there! The family seems very deserving, a single mom with 9 kids who battled breast cancer. Last year their dryer caught fire and burned their house.Isn't the house beautiful! I'd live there! This second picture is of them setting up an assembly line to move in the furniture.

The night before the revealed the home to the family they had an auction to raise money for the family....
The reveal happened during the day while I was at work and we were not able to make it to that, but we went over later that night. They had a small little private performance from Kylie Minogue right in front of the house for the family as a surprise and so we got to go to that. It was pretty cool because they were taping it for the show. They had us all cheering over and over again doing multiple takes and all kinds of stuff. It was really fun! They also were shooting footage for commercials that will be airing in France. It was funny because they had Ty trying to say things in French and then they would cue us and we all had to cheer.

Anyways, it was a cool experience. Maybe we'll be on TV when the show airs! Haha. I doubt it actually, but lots of fun regardless!
