It's been so long.
1. Trigger celebrated his birthday with a big rawhide (from Costco) .

2. We have been to Costco 3 times and it hasn't even been open a week yet.
3. I babysat a very cute, very good little baby! (Which, I must say, may have helped make me a little more baby hungry. Some day people, some day.)
4. We had the missionaries over.
5. We (but mostly me) set up our food rotation system. (Holy poop, I wanted to die afterwards. Has anyone else ever set one of these babies up before? It was involved! & yes I know there is a big gap down there in the bottom, but I don't even have enough food to fill it up yet & my fingers were too tired so i stopped)

6.And then I watched Jon clean out the freezer so we could turn it back on and fill it up with Costco goodies!

Happy Birthday Trigger!

(ignore the pink collar, it was just for marking purposes)
1. Research different Dog Breeds. Believe it or not I did actually look into a lot of different breeds. Jon wanted a Great Dane and I didn't...I wanted a fun house dog that wasn't too high maintenance, but could be lovey. Well believe it or not, that's a Great Dane.
2. Visit LOTS of Breeders. This was really hard for me when we first started looking at pups. The first breeder we went and saw I was ready to pick a puppy, but Jon forced me to do some more looking...I'm SOO glad we did. After looking around I realized that I wanted a breeder invested in the welfare of the puppies, not their wallet! (The first breeder we met was so anxious to get the pups sold...almost like there was something wrong with them or something?...)
3. Take your PUPPY to Obedience Classes. This really, for me, is the most important. I learned the hard way about this. This will give your dog a HUGE advantage! Really! They will learn all kinds of basic commands and tricks as well as getting the socialization with other dogs and humans! This can also be a good bonding experience for owner and K9. Your dog needs to learn that you are in control (especially with a great dane who may become bigger than you someday) and that your are Alpha! Trust me, this is SOO important! When I took my dogs it only cost 60$ for an 8 week class that included training supplies--WELL worth it! Before you get a dog check out a couple of places around town...make sure they are certified trainers as well! If you have kids, most places do kid doggie obedience too, which would be a great idea too!

Well those are just a few starters. I really do Love my dogs. They are good practice children. Haha. And even though I complain about them sometimes, I really do love them a ton and we have so much fun with them!
Happy 2nd Birthday TrigFace.

How could you not LOVE that face?

Photography
Any kind of art-drawings, paintings, crafts, graphics, photography, etc... The list really could go on and on. Anything artsy-craftsy I am a fan. I have always kind of considered myself an artist. For a long time I wanted to be a fashion designer...I drew all kinds of things in high school that I wanted to design. So I decided that I wanted to do something artsy and so I went to college to pursue that.
You should know I used to be a Art Major in college. Used-to-be because it started getting not fun. Not fun because it started feeling forced. Forced because it was what my professors and teachers thought I should do or how I should channel my creativity. I didn't feel like I had a say in what or how I got to do things. That was not how I wanted to do art, it just wasn't natural anymore. So I quit being an Art Major. I decided I could still be an artist, I just wanted to do things my own way. I wanted to create my own assignments and my own projects. So I changed majors and decided I would always just do art on my own time.
I still kind of kick myself about that one...why you ask? Because in the last semester of my not-artprogram in college I was required to take some classes that reignited my artistic creativity and made me miss my days as an art major. In one of my classes I became a (and this is self-proclaimed) Photoshop Master. Haha. And that has had me hooked on photography ever since. Only one problem, and quite a large one as well...I don't have a grown-up camera. I'm dying for one. I already know most the editing tricks, now I just need the camera! I just have to figure out which one to get...
Any suggestions?

Funnies
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Oh man. I was laughing SO hard I was tearing up a little. You know why? Because I didn't yearbook myself, I yearbooked the Hubby. I was soo excited for him to get home so I could show him my creations!
First I tried to find the most ridiculous picture of him....
That will work fine.
Then this happened:
And then this:
And this number:
One more:
Oh goodness. I was laughing soo hard. Jon even thought it was pretty funny.
I promise he is a normal person and I love him to death (I didn't do this because I was mad or anything, it was just funnier on him than me). Haha.
Everyone should do this to their husband too & post their pictures!
P.S. Did I mention I'm going to the Costco VIP opening tonight?! Tomorrow is the grand opening, and although I don't know that i really want to brave the crowds tommorrow, I think I will make it there again before the weekend is up!

For Your Viewing Pleasure...
Haha. Do you enjoy it as much as we do?
Even though he could easily jump over the gate he won't...he's too scared.
Couple things...
Then, Jon's parents are in Iowa visiting family. Jon's dad, Steve, just got back from Iraq about a month or so ago and he hadn't seen his family yet since he'd been home so they went back to visit. The news station did a little story on it...click here.

New Name
So, Krista gave me this award:

And I know that it is in a different language so here is the translation:
“This blog invests and believes, in ‘proximity’ [meaning, that blogging makes us 'close' - being close through proxy]"
Thanks, Krista!
Addictive Cookies
And then I had one of these:

And it was soo good. It's not like you can eat just one. You eat one and then it doesn't even really settle in that it was REALLY GOOD until your done with it...so then you eat another...and another...and another until you have eaten 8 of the 10 cookies.

I don't know what it is...it's like they're laced with some sort of addictive drug or something. I literally can not get ENOUGH! I think it must be like what Chocolate is to some Women.
Please tell me I am not the only one.

Merry Halloween To Me!
First I went in this Halloween Bootique. I thought it was going to have all kinds of cute Halloween decorations and maybe some costumes, etc...Nope-skanky Halloween outfits. Well, no thank you--I don't think that's going to work out for the ward trunk-or-treat. So I go next door and there IT is. A quite large Apothecary Jar...it gets better...for $12 bucks!!! WHAT? Okay, MUST HAVE. Well then I start feeling guilty because then i'm going to have to buy some sort of thing to put in it and that's going to cost, but then I had a cheap idea and voila-here she is:
It's okay you can hate me.
I'm already imagining all the things that I can put in there. She will be a seasonal decoration...
So then I was feeling so good about myself I ate the last 2 cookies:
I feel accomplished.
Oh, and I wanted to show you my updated door mistreatment. It looks 10 times better if I do say so myslef.

Utah, School Project, Dogs, Costco
Well then Stephanie has the idea that we should make tin foil hats like in the movie Signs. And to save you from a long drawn out story, it was a good time. I have a hard time keeping a straight face so I was laughing the entire time, but it was still good.

While we were there Jon and his dad gave the dogs a bath which was long overdue. They're already filthy again, but oh well, what are you going to do? They're dogs.
P.S. Yesterday at work they had some reps from COSTCO come and get us signed up for memberships...I AM SO EXCITED FOR COSTCO!! Let the countdown begin!
