Cache turns ONE!

I can't believe my little baby is ONE now? How does it go so fast! He has changed so much and we love him so much! I never knew having a baby would be so fun! We celebrated his first birthday at one of the parks here in town. Cache's Grammy and Pop were able to be there, both sets of my Grandparents and our friends were all able to come.


I love the concentration on his face! Haha. He is such a funny kid.
He didn't really understand the whole "presents" thing, but I'm sure next year that will be the highlight of the party...maybe? Haha. Some of the things Cache got are a forward facing car seat-which was something Jon and I were looking forward too big time, a wide assortment of balls, books, a little people farm and car thing, and lots of other fun things. Here is the Cake before he demolished it...I made him his very own...it was pretty ugly, but it worked! Haha. It was so hot outside the by the time we gave it to him a lot of the frosting had melted off the sides.

Cache we love you more than anything in the world! You are amazing! Happy Birthday baby!

Extreme Home Makeover/Jillian Harris

Our town is going crazy this week...Extreme Home Makeover is here in town! Jon and I signed up to volunteer to help, but they have had so many volunteers it doesn't look like we will get to help. LUCKILY i have friends that have the hook-up. My friend called me and told me there was kind of a "secret" softball game going on with some of the cast from Extreme Home Makeover and so Cache and I ran out to check it out! I was SO star-struck! Haha. Jillian Harris is helping the Extreme Makeover team and she was at the softball game and was nice enough to hang out, talk and take a picture with us! She was my favorite Bachelorette and she is SO nice! AND super tiny...like 4'11... Anyways here is a picture, never mind me I look nasty...especially compared to her. I am so excited right now I can hardly contain myself!
She was really nice to Cache she waved to him and told him "I love your name!". Haha. Anyways, it was pretty cool.

My baby is getting too big!

In less than a week my baby is going to be a year old! How did that happen? It went WAY too fast! As far as milestones go he still refuses to walk...we used to try and walk him between the 2 of us, and he was getting so good! BUT then he took a couple of falls and ever since he refuses to walk anywhere unless we are holding his hand. His favorite words right now are WOW, Uh-oh, Ball and Bubbles. He loves dogs. If he see's a dog or hears a dog he makes a little "woof woof" barking sound. While I was going through the paper there was a picture of a dog on one of the inserts and Cache came over and started barking and pointing at the dog...so he's got dogs figured out now.

Trip to Washington

I have not been a very good little blogger lately. Life just seems really busy lately and computer time seems few and far between. At the begining of July we made a quick trip out to Washington...unfortunately we had to come home early, but things happen sometimes. While we were there we were able to cram some fun in. I celebrated my birthday there, we had the 4th of July there, went to a Mariners game, and went to Friday Harbor. Here are a few pictures, I didn't have time to get them resized so I had to put them in a collage. The pictures look really small, but if you click on them it will give you a bigger image.

10 months already!?!?!

Wow, they grow up so fast! I always find myself thinking I don't want Cache to get any bigger, I love this stage...and then he gets bigger and I decide that that stage is just as good as the last. It seems like lately he is picking up on more and more stuff. Cache can now wave, he claps his hands, walks along the furniture and from object to object, if he hears the dogs barking he kind of barks too. Haha. The barking thing is pretty funny, I don't know that you can really call it a bark, but you can tell that's what he is trying to do. He is getting into EVERYTHING. Things I don't think he will be able to get into, or be able to reach he finds and gets into. He opens the cabinets, the drawers, everything. He LOVES bath time and a lot of times we find him in the bathroom trying to pull himself into the bath. He is still a chunky baby...I kind of thought when he started crawling he would thin out, but I don't think he's thinned out at all...maybe when he starts walking.
Here he is sleeping in the little bike trailer. He loves going on bike rides! ;-)

Swimming

Our first trip to the swimming pool was quite eventful. When we got there there were some clouds in the sky but it didn't look too threatening and one of the lifeguards was standing outside saying that they predicted it would all blow over--so we went. Anyways, as soon as we got Cache in the water their Lightening alarm thing went off and they kicked everyone out. Haha. They ended up opening back up a little later so we went back and got to have some fun.

Cache was a little skeptical at first, in fact he did cry at one point, but eventually he started to like it.

These pictures don't show how happy he was, but by the time we left we was yelling and splashing and having a great time!
Here is a picture of him trying to eat my sandwich. Because he still doesn't have any teeth all he did was suck on it and make it all soggy. Haha.
