What to eat...

I am pretty pathetic lately...I come home from work and promptly change into my pajamas. Then I scavenge the house for something to eat...all day long seems like...I have absolutely HATED the whole eating thing lately. Nothing ever sounds good and so it's completely un-satisfying. And if I don't eat, I will pay for it.

Anyways, what did you eat when you were pregnant? I need some ideas. Popcorn was fantastic for about a week and now I can hardly look at it anymore...the same with Teddy Grahms, Saltines, and Goldfish crackers.

Hey Mallorie. It's Katie from school and church about a million years ago. I'm Katie Strong now and I'm also pregnant (by the way, congrats. That is so exciting!) Honestly for me it was just whatever worked for that week. I didn't like things that were too dry like the saltines that everyone recommends. It changes a lot for a while, but it shouldn't be too long before you can eat mostly normally again. Just lots more. I am hungry all the time! There are still some things that don't sound good, but for the most part I can eat again! Such a happy day!

So glad I found your blog and I'm so happy to hear your news! Also, I think your dogs are completely adorable. I want big dogs, but Martell (my honey) doesn't want any. Party pooper. So I will admire yours.:D

Mal, Katie's right, hopefully you will soon be over this kind've "akward" stage in the pregnacy and be able to eat more "freely." Just go with your cravings if you are craving anything (or call Holly, she had my prego cravings for me). Fruits are good, I ate a LOT of apples, strawberries, blueberries, etc. I also ate a lot of celery to be eating without really eating! Pickles were always a good fall back for me to.

Hope this helps. Call me if you wanna talk out the food stuff. Love ya,

Mallorie,
When i was prego, i lived of off toast and instant breakfast (chocolate milk). Good luck, being prego isn't that fun.

Hey Mal! I couldn't stand dry things either. Yuck! I ate a LOT of fruit, it was my biggest thing. I also really liked popsicles...they weren't filling or anything, but they helped for some reason.

Dijorno Pepperoni Pizza was the ONLY thing I could eat for about a month, three meals a day. I had to eat it while taking a warm bath, which was handy because it was close to the toilet. I never threw up the pizza. I have thown up every other food on the planet. I found that pears taste about the same coming up as going down. If you aren't to the throwing up stage yet, just the queezy stage, you can try lunch meat.

Your other commenters are right. Go with what you are craving. Go with anything that sounds good, except Macaroni and Cheese.

Instead of cravings I was repulsed by things that I had previously liked. (Ice Cream and Reeces Peanut Butter cups repulsed me, unfortunately, and I still haven't regained the love for them that I had before being pregnant with Emma!!! Very sad!) However, for both pregnancies fruits and veggies were my favorite. I liked making a fruity milkshake. String cheese and other cheeses were yummy to me, too, most of the time. Good luck!

Is it morning sickness? I never had morning sickness but a coworker of mine always munched on peppermint candycanes to help. Not really filling but it's worth a shot.

But for cravings, I LOVED Pepsi for some reason.

I ate peanut butter and jellies. If it gets boring, I would buy different kind of bread or jelly.
Lemonade helped a bunch.
Grilled cheese in the microwave.

And coke cola! I know it's not 'good' but it was the only think I could keep down at work.
