"It's about time!"

So you know how I have (until the other day) been on a blogging break?

Well there is actually a reason for it...I have been really sick the last month or so.

Anywho, I feel kind of stupid announcing this on my blog, but I am about 11 weeks pregnant. We have been waiting until we went to the doctor to start telling. We got to hear the hearbeat and even got to see the little baby moving around in there. It was totally weird, but very cool...Jon and I have both felt like it wasn't really real yet, but that seemed to make it sink in a little more.

So now you know.

Yesterday, I told one of my BFF, Chelsea, and she said something to the effect of, "It's about time" which made me laugh so that's why it gets to be the title.

And of course I will be happy with either Boy or Girl, but if I had my choice I'd say Girl...just so we can play dress-up. OH--and right now my due date is Aug. 18th, so I'll get to experience being 9 months pregnant in the dead of summer-yay!

I remember my first pregnancy and knowing I had a child inside but it was all sort of a "Aliens" experience at first. Then it just got more and more amazing until we got the wonderful gift of meeting our first family addition. Congratulations. I hope the morning sickness doesn't last too long. Flat coke or pepsi really helps. My Doctor had me use that along with soda crackers. Megan was born August 24 and Stuart July 18th (What was I thinking?) Make sure you have a lot of fans and popscicles!!!

Wow, I am such a loser friend! I had no idea you were pregnant! You would think that I would have at least heard it through the Mormon grapevine or something. But I am so excited for you guys! Really, that is so awesome. I'm trying to get back into this whole blogging thing, not that I was ever that much into it, but maybe I'll be able to keep track of what's going on. I love you Mal, and I'm sorry I haven't talked to you in forever!

Oh, and I just saw my mom's comment, and she still can't get my birthday right. It's the 26th, not the 24th. Haha, it must have been all that summer heat during her pregnancy.
