My good friend just took some pictures of us last night. It was quite the undertaking since we wanted to have the dogs in the pictures too, so thanks guys!
By the way, if you need some pictures, you should check 'em out!

Recent Happenings...

Afterwards I had to have some toast!
One of my favorite blogs is Nester. She always has easy ideas for decorating and so I took a hint from her and mistreated my bathroom window. Here is the before:

Well that all turned out okay and so then I mistreated my door because we needed a little more privacy. (Sorry no before pictures)

I Love Heels
Okay, mostly I just wanted to show off my new shoes that Jon got me for an anniversary gift:

But then Jon asked how many pairs of Jessica Simpson shoes I had...and so I had to go count...8 pairs. (The top two shelves in picture below) I acquired most pairs while I worked as a Shoe Salesgirl @ Dillards about two years ago. That was not a good job for me, I was always finding cute things that I HAD to have. After I left, I had a friend still working there and so she used to call me when the cute shoes went on sale...I had connections...usually she would call and the conversation would go something like, "those JS shoes went on sale. Want me to hold a size 7?"...
I do have other heels as well...

See that next row? Those are the begining of the not-Jessica Simpson shoes. Most of my shoes aren't Jessica Simpson, but the JS are my favorites usually. How about the hot pink heels? Like 'em? I bet you are thinking...does she actually have outfits to wear with those, and yes I do. Anywho, I have A LOT of shoes... I have another shoe holder in my closet filled with shoes. So not to worry, I probably have a pair of shoes to go with any outfit.

Really Quickly...
Okay, sorry I haven't been updating much, but it's been a busy week and today is Jon's day off so I don't want to neglect him for too long or he'll start complaining about blogging.
Anyways, saw this on Heather's blog and decided i needed to post it as well, just because I think it is hilarious and kinda of weird, possibly gross:

Ah, what the heck.
So I finally summoned up the courage to do a little chop-chop to the hair. I was hating my long hair. It was boring and took FOREVER to do. I needed a change.
Also, please excuse the self-portraits. I hate them--they remind me of MySpace/myspace/Myspace (Hey Jill, did we ever figure that one out?!). But there are no people here and my dogs do not have opposable thumbs...

That's okay...I didn't want to pay bills anyways
I may never understand what is so wonderful to dogs about eating paper...
...Besides where do you find all this paper anyways? I swear I have no idea where you get it half the time.
Well, don't worry. I didn't want to pay the bills anyways...
Is it the tearing sounds? Does it make you feel powerful?
Is it that 10 cups of food a day (per dog) is just not enough? Is that why you scavenge around the house all day looking for scraps of paper, food, bugs...etc?...Besides where do you find all this paper anyways? I swear I have no idea where you get it half the time.
Well, don't worry. I didn't want to pay the bills anyways...
(Sorry it's a cell phone pic...it's the best i could do...)
Well, and I guess since you, Trigger, ate the actual bill...it would only be fitting that Thor ate the envelope too.

Wedding Anniversary
3 Years ago, Sept. 17, 2005, we were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and Eternity! It seems crazy, but I love you more today then I did 3 years and can't wait to keep learning, growing, and having fun together! I couldn't have asked for anything else!
And I just think this picture is cute...

Doors....
This is our house:
It's an older home. I suspect originally built in the early 1900's? It obviously was renovated some time after the 70's (nasty!) and then some things were done before we moved in (and we are still slowly working on updating the rest of it). I do like our house, but at the same time, I already feel like we're growing out of it. Because of it's Boxy-ness it's not very open and it seems MUCH smaller than it is. There are doors to EVERYTHING. The entrance to the hallway even has a place for a door or two--who puts a door to the entrance of a hallway? Anyways, they removed many of the doors so that it would appear a little more open. This actually has some benefits! They are the original solid wood doors that the house was built with. But I am lucky because now I have a room in the basement filled with old doors and I'm thinkin' there might be somethin' crafty I could do with them.
(This is a picture of one of the rooms in the house when we originally looked at the house while it was on the market. You can see an example of one of the doors...)

My wheels are turning, but now my question for you....
What would you do with them?
I've decided that I'm going to make a headboard out one of them...
Oooo!! Check this out!! ---http://joysofhome.blogspot.com/search/label/furniture%20I%20a-door

All Grown Up
Look how much my Puppys have grown!
Trigger when he was a baby... (ignore me--I look pretty scary)

And then a picture from earlier this year:

And then of course...Thor when he was little (actually he never really was that little:

And now he's HUGE!

Weren't they cute puppies! No wonder we ended up with 2...they tricked us with their puppy cuteness!

September 11
I can't believe it's been 7 years already.
Currently Jon's dad is serving our country in the Middle East with the Navy Seabee's. He is a great example to us and we are very proud of him! He has been gone since Oct./Nov. of last year so we are anxiously awaiting him to come home to his family sometime soon!

Here he is with a Donkey that came to visit camp.

Trip to Utah
Jon got Labor day weekend off so we decided it would be nice to get out of the house. We packed
up and took off. Of course, this was 10 bajillion times easier now with the new car! Click here if you missed that post. Anyways, the pups enjoyed the car trip too, they just slept most the way & in turn it was much more enjoyable for us as well!

Okay so last Christmas my parents got Jon and I an Ikea gift card. Finally on this last trip to Utah we got to go to Ikea! I wish I had some pictures to show you of some of the stuff we got, but I don't. I will, however, show you some pics when I finally get our bedroom decorated--it may be awhile. I got a big long mirror to hang above the bed, a duvet cover, blanket, and a couple other little knick knacky things.
We hung out with the fam. Did lots of eating & Relaxed. Mission accomplished.
Oh yeah...When we finished shopping at Ikea we ate at their little cafeteria thing. This is what Jon ate:

Raw Fish...he said he liked it. I tried it...it wasn't as bad as I thought, but I definitely wouldn't eat a plateful of it. I played it safe with my Swedish Meatballs:
P.S. We got 26 mpg out of the Green Machine! Not bad.
