Picture Time
So last night I went and took some real family pictures for some friends from Jon's work. Anywho, I had so much fun and hoping for some more volunteers to let me practice on them! Check them out!

Happy Day!
I was begining to think all rocker/gliders of the world had plotted together to keep me from getting my hands on one! I won't bore you with all the details, but basically I ordered a glider in June...didn't recieve it until August (after Cache was born)...then when I did get it-it was broken...so they sent a new one--that one was broken...anyways 3 gliders later...

Yay!
Also, it was snowing & freezing cold yesterday...thus the little blue bear suit.

Look Alike
We are always trying to figure out who Cache looks most alike...Me or Jon...usually it just kind of depends, but he seems to be taking after his dad lately... Jon's mom saved one of Jon's old outfits and so here is a picture of Jon in his outfit and Cache in Jon's old outfit...What do you think?

And then here's what I used to look like...

Cache's Blessing
We blessed Cache on September 27th...I'm a little behind in posting. We had lots of friends and family come into town for it! He looked so handsome in his little outfit! After the blessing we had a luncheon and my grandparents home & got to visit with everyone! It was such a good day for us!
Cache and his Daddy...love this picture.

Here are a few misc pictures...some of our friends who drove down especially for the blessing & a Nielsen family picture.

Our little family!

Washington Trip
Cache and I just got back from a trip to Washington to visit my family. We had fun just hanging out with the family & the extra help was really nice too! Here a just a few pictures from our trip.

This is a little Sunday outfit I got Cache while we were there...it's still a bit big, but at least he'll have plenty of room to grow into it!

Poor kid...he inherited my hair-curly & frizy. I normally try to do something with it, but usually it has a mind of it's own. This is what it looks like when I don't do anything to it. He's still the cutest baby ever.

Unfortunately Jon didn't get to come with us, but he did come and pick us up and bring us home so we were able to get a quick family picture--seems how we probably won't all be together again before Taylor leaves on his mission.

Cache & Brooklyn
Last week my friend Lori and her baby, Brooklyn, came to visit for a little bit. It was fun to visit about baby stuff & have some company while Jon was at work. Technically, if both Cache and Brooklyn would have come when they were due they should have only been a couple days apart, but since Brooklyn came early and Cache came late there's a little more time between them.
Checking each other out...
Checking each other out...
Cache getting her phone number...
Just kidding...kinda... haha. No actually Cache was abnormally quiet and content while they were here. He must have liked having baby company.

Me talking...a lot...
Lots of people have asked how we've been doing and so I just wanted to do a quick little blurb, but then it turned into a big little blurb...
In short, we are all doing good.
I was induced on the 20th and I have to say, the contractions weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be, but they still hurt really bad. I did get an epidural--which I would highly recommend, but unfortunately right before I started to push Cache turned sideways and my epidural quit working as well as it had been...then it REALLY got painful! Holy smokes, I thought I was going to die. I tried to get everyone to let me quit--I kept yelling "I can't do this anymore" to which Jon replied, "your almost done!" (for an hour and a half). Haha. Jon was really great through the whole thing, I just wasn't loving the pushing part. Anyways, I wasn't making any progress with the pushing so they had to use a "vacuum" to get him out. His poor head was so bruised! Anyways, it was quite the experience, I don't even really remember all of it, but he's here and that's all that matters.
My mom came and stayed with us for about 2 weeks which was SO nice! She did all my housework, made yummy meals, kept me company during the day, and woke up with me in the middle of the night. She can come visit me whenever she wants! Haha.
We've been on our own now for a couple weeks and occasionally I feel extremely sleep deprived, but for the most part he sleeps really good at night! --Knock on wood-- In fact, sometimes I think I should wake him up more often in the middle of the night to eat...but I haven't done it yet. Haha. Nursing is going good as well (TMI?? haha). The only thing that stinks about nursing is that he does seem to not like certain things I eat so I'm having to stay away from some stuff, but oh well. He is becoming more alert which has been fun too! I have been taking quick little trips with him, but I'm totally paranoid about germs so I always keep him covered up and I try not to touch him until I can pull out my hand sanitizer and de-germ myself. That probably sounds crazy, I know. I haven't taken him to church yet-I just know people will be in his cute little face and it makes me nervous just thinking about it. We're blessing him in about 2 weeks though so I guess I'll have to get over it soon!
And just because a post is not complete without a picture...

Pictures
And again...some more pictures...
His hair is so long I've almost tried to trim it up in a few places already, but I'm too scared.
Should have rotated this one, but I got lazy...
He is gonna be a thumb sucker--I've been trying to get his binky in his mouth when he starts to suck on his hand because I figure it will be much easier to get rid of the binky than the thumb ;)
He really likes to be held & I would love to hold him all day, but my arms are killing me! So I've been sticking him on a blanky on the floor--he seems to like rolling onto his right side...
Me and da babes! Don't know what's up with the face...
And then the big brothers... We haven't let the dogs be "free range" around the baby, but they seem okay with him. They both sniff him, but Thor tends to try to ignore him & Trigger comes running when Cache starts to cry-so we'll see how things go...
