Me talking...a lot...
Lots of people have asked how we've been doing and so I just wanted to do a quick little blurb, but then it turned into a big little blurb...
In short, we are all doing good.
I was induced on the 20th and I have to say, the contractions weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be, but they still hurt really bad. I did get an epidural--which I would highly recommend, but unfortunately right before I started to push Cache turned sideways and my epidural quit working as well as it had been...then it REALLY got painful! Holy smokes, I thought I was going to die. I tried to get everyone to let me quit--I kept yelling "I can't do this anymore" to which Jon replied, "your almost done!" (for an hour and a half). Haha. Jon was really great through the whole thing, I just wasn't loving the pushing part. Anyways, I wasn't making any progress with the pushing so they had to use a "vacuum" to get him out. His poor head was so bruised! Anyways, it was quite the experience, I don't even really remember all of it, but he's here and that's all that matters.
My mom came and stayed with us for about 2 weeks which was SO nice! She did all my housework, made yummy meals, kept me company during the day, and woke up with me in the middle of the night. She can come visit me whenever she wants! Haha.
We've been on our own now for a couple weeks and occasionally I feel extremely sleep deprived, but for the most part he sleeps really good at night! --Knock on wood-- In fact, sometimes I think I should wake him up more often in the middle of the night to eat...but I haven't done it yet. Haha. Nursing is going good as well (TMI?? haha). The only thing that stinks about nursing is that he does seem to not like certain things I eat so I'm having to stay away from some stuff, but oh well. He is becoming more alert which has been fun too! I have been taking quick little trips with him, but I'm totally paranoid about germs so I always keep him covered up and I try not to touch him until I can pull out my hand sanitizer and de-germ myself. That probably sounds crazy, I know. I haven't taken him to church yet-I just know people will be in his cute little face and it makes me nervous just thinking about it. We're blessing him in about 2 weeks though so I guess I'll have to get over it soon!
And just because a post is not complete without a picture...

Pictures
And again...some more pictures...
His hair is so long I've almost tried to trim it up in a few places already, but I'm too scared.
Should have rotated this one, but I got lazy...
He is gonna be a thumb sucker--I've been trying to get his binky in his mouth when he starts to suck on his hand because I figure it will be much easier to get rid of the binky than the thumb ;)
He really likes to be held & I would love to hold him all day, but my arms are killing me! So I've been sticking him on a blanky on the floor--he seems to like rolling onto his right side...
Me and da babes! Don't know what's up with the face...
And then the big brothers... We haven't let the dogs be "free range" around the baby, but they seem okay with him. They both sniff him, but Thor tends to try to ignore him & Trigger comes running when Cache starts to cry-so we'll see how things go...

So now apparently my little ticker is off...instead of saying i'm overdue it says i have more days to go.
Still nothing...
Not even any braxton hicks contractions.
I am VERY uncomfortable.
Any ideas how to coax a baby out? Haha.

Baby Misc...
So much has been going on lately & of course our internet went out for the majority of that time, but maybe it was a good thing because I probably got a lot more done that way.
Jon set up the crib:
Pretend like I'm not in the picture... I also bought a glider online from Target in June...and it still has not shipped! Once it gets here I'll put up a picture of the room...hopefully it get's here before baby does!
My Aunts and Grandma threw me a fantastic baby shower! We got a lot of stuff!
Pictures L to R: Me + Jenny & her baby Austin, Jill and Nikelle, Tammy & Amy, my Mom's quilt, Leslie & Austin with Jenny, Grandma & Jessica Haworth, Jessica Buckley +Kate + Stephanie, Megan & Steph, Jeremiah.
The girls at work also threw me a baby shower--but I didn't get to have my camera so there's no pictures of that one. :-(
And here is another picture of the belly:

I think the whole "having a baby" thing is probably starting sink more lately...up until about a week ago I could not wait to get this kid out, now I'm starting to think the longer he waits--the better! Haha. Then I'll have some more time to get some more things done around here! At the same time though I know a few people that were due the same time as me (some a few days before, and some a few days after my due date) & as of this morning, all of them have had their babies...so now I'm feeling left out.
I feel decent, not to say my back doesn't kill sometimes and that I'm not totally uncomfortable, but I think for the most part I don't feel too bad. I went to the Dr yesterday and he told me I'm at a 2...so who knows when this kid will come...could be tomorrow could be 2 weeks. I keep telling the baby to wait until next week at least.
